A Cool Discovery

Something very cool I just discovered...
the Fiskars scissor-like punch of the
1 1/2 inch pumpkin is the perfect shape
and size to punch out the pumpkins from
the "pumpkin patch" paper from My Minds Eye...The first
photo shows the sheet of paper, with the punch, the second photo shows some punches in a project (OK, Fine, it is one of the make-and-take free projects for this Saturday...you forced it out of me...note to self--do not become a spy.) Even though some of the printed pumpkins are larger than the punch, it still comes out perfectly!! I feel like Magellan, the discoverer, standing on the brink of the Fountain of Youth...or whatever he was discovering, or Madame Curie, as she discovered penicillin...kids, do not use me as a source for any of your term papers...really!

Thank you to everyone who is participating in the blog question of the week. I love reading all the answers, and I am actually taking notes on all of them. I hope, over time, that everyone gets a chance to win!!
Here is this week's new question...What is your favorite quote that you would use as a theme for a mini-album...you can tell me one or two quotes...it would also be great if you tell us who said/wrote it...put your thinking caps on!!
..and here is a photo of the prize that will be awarded to

someone who posts an answer here, chosen by the
random.org number generating system. It is some papers and a bunch of cool Halloween embellishments from KI Memories. You gotta play to win, so leave me a comment in the "comment" area under the blog entry and tell me how you would answer this week's question .
I have some great go-to books for quotes, so I will find few that I like and post them also in the comments..and, no, I will not let myself win, darn it.

  3. Oh there are so many quotes I love!!! One of my favorites is "Life isn't about finding yourself, life is about creating yourself." The author is unknown.

Another favorite that I think would work great as a minibook theme is: "Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination with take you ANYWHERE." (Albert Einstein)

And I just have to share one more: "You can't depend on your eyes if your imagination is out of focus." (Mark Twain)

  4. I think "There's no place like home" said by Judy Garland in The Wizard of Oz would make a great mini-album...

  5. I don't know exactly how you would incorporate it into a scrapbook, but my favorite quote is, "Life is what happens while you're busy making other plans" by John Lennon.
It must be other peoples favorite quote too because I've seen it on two rubber stamps.

I also like: "Some people live in the fast lane. I live in on coming traffic".

I'd love to make a Family-themed mini album using this quote...

  11. Hi Kate,
I must have a birthday mini-book in mind. Here are a couple current favorite quotes of mine:

"The great thing about getting older is that you don't lose all the other ages you've been." from Madeline L'Engle.

"How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are?" unknown author (to me.)

    Thanks for sharing!!

  14. I actually made a little accordion book this past week based on this quote by Marcel Proust: "Let us be grateful to people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom." I'm thinking that this would make a wonderful rubber stamp! Anne Thompson, the Woodshed, Maine

  17. "Change is the only thing you can count on"
I don't really remember who said it, but I use it almost every day in my job.
It would be great to highlight the changes my fashion has been through all these years (in a scrapbook page)
