This is the prize for the random winner this week..a cool bag (includes the bag) of buttons,,,got this on e bay...one for you, one for me...that sounds fair.
So, who has water in their basement?? Apparently, lots of people in Topsfield, so the local schools are closed. If you are coming to the store before all this water goes away, the best route here is via 95. Coming from the north, take 95 south , exit 52, and turn left...follow that into the center of town. From the south, take 95 north to exit 52, turn right, go into town .
A huge Maya Road order arrived today, I think it is the CHa order..haven't seen it yet, but I do believe that they are working on it as I speak (write.) Tomorrow is St. Pat's Day and we have the "Luck-o-the-Irish" wheel of fortune set up and ready to go. If your name is PAtrick-no IDs will be checked...if you say that's your name, we believe you!...anyway, If your name is PAtrick, you get to spin the wheel ...see the newsletter for a list of the prizes. I am getting into the spring cleaning mode, now, with the sun out. Don't forget that we are moving the annual yard sale up a week, so it is on the Sunday before Memorial day...sign-ups for table space will begin on April 1, no joke.
Comments for this week's prize can be completely random...write whatever you want..ask a question, tell us all a cool find you recently discovered, complain about the weather...anything goes!

  1. Woke up to a beautiful morning..sun shining and NO RAIN. We took out about 14 buckets of water from our basement with the wet vac this weekend...but we were lucky we didn't lose power. Its supposed to be a really nice week..yippee :)

  6. I have been experimenting with buttons and cards a lot recently! Love em....

Question: how do people mail cards with buttons with the least muss and fuss? So far, I am using a bit of bubble wrap over the front. still fits in the envy; but have to use extra postage... Jenny in Beverly

  7. Back to the business of trying to shape up. Taking a brisk walk every morning and finding myself thinking about scrapping topics...first signs of spring, lyrics on my ipod, sights and sounds in my neighborhood....

  9. Hi Kate!
Had to take a break today from the 9"-12" of water we had in the basement. Met my friend at AE. You were so awesome. You figured out which distressing tools I was trying to find by watching the way I moved my hands. You said you are great at Charades!
Hadn't been to the store in a few weeks. It looks GREAT!
Thanks for your help and for the laughs I get as I read your newsletter and blogs. Carol

  11. I am a bit of a button-o-holoic. This would be a cool prize for me. I also have a bag problem. I told my husband that the only reason I have children was that I wanted an excuse to buy diaper bags. The fact that the buttons come in a cool bag makes it that much better. Throw in some ribbon, Kate, and it will be Prize Nirvana. ;^)

  12. Hey Kate--Just buzzing over to say Hello! Hoping to get down to your store sometime soon...sans kids! That sounds like a perfect afternoon! The buttons and bag are tres chic.

Our area was flooded...the main street that we are off of was flooded in both directions so we weren't getting out to go anywhere but luckily no water (except a very small amt) in our basement. Have a great week!
